Here's the best way to describe the state of total, pampered relaxation we achieved at Casa Las Brisas. After an all-too-quick week's vacation (there were 8 of us, two families of four)it came time to leave. We arrived at the airport mid-day for an afternoon flight. We realized we were hungry. We found the restaurant in the airport. The experience of looking at a menu and ordering seemed terribly complex - we were so far out of our comfort zone. And afterward you actually had to pay!

At Casa Las Brisas we never faced such perplexing choices! We woke up when we woke up and shortly thereafter a fabulous breakfast would appear. And at just the right moments would appear lunch, snacks, cocktails, margaritas, dinner, desserts. Special meals for the kids? Not a problem. Total pampering!

How about a massage? A woman showed up one day and set up her table in one of the bedrooms. Lunch on the beach - they bring it to you.

Before we went we figured we'd want to go out to dinner at least a couple of times, but once we got there we realized even the finest restaurant couldn't begin to compare with our set-up. Cocktails on the patio at sunset. Dinner under the palapa by the pool. Discreet service by the staff. Everything perfect, and perfectly presented.

We rented a car (totally unnecessary) figuring we'd want to spend a couple days exploring the area, but after a day in the villa we realized there was nothing more that we could want. We never went "down the mountain". The car sat unused all week!

And the most amazing thing is, you can't beat the price. Accommodations easily three times better than suites at the Ritz and the service couldn't possibly compare. (Example: throw your dirty clothes in the hamper at night, the next afternoon they're cleaned and folded, lying on the bed. So don't overpack.) We tallied up the cost of meals for the week and realized we paid about $1.75/person/meal (including alcohol and service)! Cruise ship? Fugiddaboudit!

There is no better vacation - there is no better deal.
